You Know You Make Me Wanna

SHOUT
So I'm a couple days late with the update. Ok, more like a week, but whatever. Our performance on Wednesday was pretty good. I wasn't embarrassed like I thought I was going to be. Unfortunately only my Grandma showed up, but she said she enjoyed it. However, Friday's performance was much better. It always is. Both of my parents showed up to that one which is a first, so I was pretty excited. They enjoyed it, and my dad called the other day while at work and told me he was really impressed and proud of me. Needless to say that made my day.
The plans for Vancouver are coming along swimmingly. Although, depending on who's available to go in August I might just go the beginning of July or the end of June. We'll see. I'm also excited because my mom and dad are taking me to see Jersey Boys for my birthday in a couple weeks. My brother saw it last time my parents went and he's going again. It must good.
I'm thinking about getting my hair cut again today. Maybe just trimmed, but we'll see. I have to wait till my clothes are dry before I can go anywhere. I just want to thank everyone involved in pushing me into the pool. Not only was the water uncomfortably warm, but it was full of dirt from all the yard work we are doing. So thank you. <3
I'm excited for the summer though. I can't wait for July 4th and our annual (well, lately it's been tri-annual) camping trip. I haven't been in ages and I can't wait to reconnect with my cousins and my aunts and uncles. I haven't been to Yosemite since I went to bootcamp and that was almost 4 years ago. And the talent show should be interesting. I have a few ideas on what I want to do, but chances are they'll stick me as mc again. No one else is capable of doing that job aparently. *rolls eyes*
Well, I've got a baseball game to attend to in a couple hours and I need to check on my clothes, so I will get back to you when I get back to you.

Oh, and Jeremy if you read this, call me and let me know what time you want me there.

When Somebody Loved Me, Everything Was Beautiful

Every hour we spent together lives within my heart...
I really like that song.
Anywho
Summer is almost here. I can feel it everytime I step outside my front door...or my garage, really. The pool water is already warming up on it's own now, no help from the cover. It's only a matter of days before I'm oficially done with school and then it's off to LA or Vancouver. Hopefully I'll have the money by then. I'd prefer Vancouver over LA though. Since my plans of going in the winter were foiled by the horrible conditions driving over the mountains in Oregon, I've been determined to go in the summer. And I can drive down to LA anytime I want, pretty much. I've got family down there, so there's no need to rent a room. Plus, my dad told me Vancouver is at it's best in the summer. Then I've got a possible Santa Cruz trip and a wedding to attend and CRASH at the end of July. Busy summer.
My birthday is also in the summer, but I doubt I'll do anything for it since I practically won't be home for more than 10 minutes at a time. Sweet 19. There's just nothing really appealing about that. Sweet 25, or sweet 27 is what I'm really looking forward to. Don't ask me why, because I haven't the slightest clue.
Speaking of weddings, I've got another wedding to attend to in the beginning of December. In Mexico. Our dear friend Soren, or Sven as he likes to be called (something about his Viking heritage...), is finally tieing the knot. And he's going to be teaching me how to surf, which is something I've longed to do since I saw my first surfer at the age of 11. It's the reason I got into snowboarding, which is something I'm also looking forward to next January/February.
I'm also researching screenwriting. I've been going to Barnes and Noble for the past few weeks and taking notes out of every book I could find, just to get an overall idea of the process. Yeah, I'm more interested in acting out the finished product, but I'd also love to write something of my own someday in the future. My grandma asked me if I preferred acting on camera as opposed to on stage. I told her yeah. I've only done a little on camera work, some of which no one will ever lay their eyes on. and I've done a lot of stage work. Stage work can get boring really quickly, in my opinion. You do the same show over and over and over for the audience. For weeks at a time. I couldn't do it. We haven't even put on our first showing of our one act, but I'm already getting tired of hearing the same lines over and over again. Acting on camera, you do the same scene multiple times, but only once. You don't have to come back a week later and still have to work on it. Just my thoughts though. I still enjoy acting on stage, it's just not my lifes ambition.
I was just talking to a friend of mine about getting a dog. He and his fiance want to get either a Bugg (Boston Terrier+Pug) or a Puggle (Pug+Beagle), or some aquatic creature(s). If they go that route, I'm rooting for a merman. Or a Dolphin. But if they decide to go the four legged fuzzy route, I'd say go for the Puggle. However, that brings up price issues. Those little cuties cost a small fortune, to me anyways. In situations like this, I say stop by the local pound and pick out a nice little puppy. That's how we got our dogs. Jesse was found under a car with a pink bow on her neck, and Rainy was found in the sewer with the rest of his family. They turned out to be quite entertaining friends. But whatever they choose, I better be allowed to be the best aunt ever and bring treats every time I visit. (Especially for the merman...)
I'm excited about tomorrow. We are putting on our first show of 7 Menus. Both of my parents are coming. They missed my fall performance and my dad missed Monty Python. I hope they both enjoy it this time.
Well, I'm off to do something productive...Like watch my recorded shows and delete them off my DVR so my dad can record his fishing shows...Ugh. I will post another blog tomorrow night, talking about how wonderfull the one acts went.

Well well well, what have we here? Santa Clause, ohh I'm really scared.

I know the title contains the name of our dear ol' Saint Nick, but rest assured, this is not a blog of the past. It was simply a small tribute to one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies. And no, I am not like many of the others who love "Nightmare" because it's dark and depressing and the color theme is black. I'm not into all that jazz. I love it because it's a story of a man who wants to branch out from his normal routine and experience something new. And the music is amazing.
In fact, I believe I was just inspired to do every one of my blog titles lyrics from songs...Hmmm. I'll try it for a while, I suppose.
Anyways
This is my first blog and I'm not exactly sure what I should talk about. I am currently at my grandmother's house. I've been here all week taking care of my great grandma while my grandma is on vacation. I did pretty much the exact same thing last month, however I've had to make sure she takes a few more pills before bed this time. My great grandma puts it best when she says, "It's sucks getting old." She's hitting 87 soon, and she's not doing too bad. She's still walking around and getting her excersize. I can only hope I'm like that at her age...I hope I reach her age. Alright, crawling out of that depressing remark and moving on to happier things.
This upcoming Wednesday, my one acts class is putting on a performance again. However, we've made quite a dramatic change. Last time we put on 7 Monty Python's Flying Circus sketches. My favorite one being the Self Defense Class. Actually, speaking of which the "Best of the Best" Gala was last weekend. It consists of the best performaces in dance, jazz choir, and musical scenes throughout the semester. The Self Defense sketch was chosen, and to this day it has been the only one act ever chosen for this event. We had a great cast and our director is amazing. It was quite an experience.
Anyways, back to this Wednesday...
Our new one act is called Seven Menus by David Ives. It's not as openly ridiculous as Monty Python. The humor is more subtle and it concentrates more on the lives of 7 people. However, there is an 8th person but he's only there to kind of piece everything together. If you haven't read it before, I highly suggest you do so now. It's great.
And my friend Shirly and I are puting on a scene from a British sketch comedy show called Big Train. The sketch is called Small Train. It's hilarious and clever and refreshing. If you ever feel the urge to watch it, here's the link:
Anyways, I've got a nice tall glass of Pinneapple/Orange juice to drink and more casting calls to sift through...
Until Next Time...
